⅓ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese softened
½ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cream or milk
1 tsp vanilla

Bake at 350º
Combine brown sugar, nuts and flour – stir in butter and mix by hand until crumble – measure 1 cup of this mixture and set aside – press remainder on bottom of an 8 inch square pan – bake for 12 to 15 min – meanwhile beat cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth –beat in egg, lemon juice, cream, and vanilla – turn into prepared crust –and top with the reserved cup of crumbs – return to oven and bake for 25 min –cool thoroughly, cut into squares and store in the refrigerator
