2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
tsp salt
6 Tbsp butter or margarine
⅓ cup shortening (Crisco - I use butter flavored)
cup sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat butter and shortening for 30 seconds. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture until well combined. Cover and chill at least 3 hours. Roll to ⅛ inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes. Sprinkle with colored sugar or frost when cooled. Bake in a 375 oven for about 8 minutes.
