Ingredients: 1 envelope gelatin dissolved in 1/2 cup cool water 1 pint heavy cream 1 cup sugar 1 pint sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla (or you could substitute 1 tsp. lemon exract and 1/2 tsp. lemon zest)

Directions:Mix and heat: sugar, dissolved gelatin and heavy cream - stirring constantly, Do NOT boil; cool. Fold in sour cream. Beat with wire whip until smooth. Add vanilla. Pour into ramekins; Refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is okay). When set top with berries (I add a little sugar to berries and allow them to macerate for a few hours to form their own syrup. |

Notes: After going on a cruise, where they served panna cotta, Matthew Z asked me why I had never made this. I asked Danny if he had a recipe and he gave me this. I have tried using one cup of whole milk and one cup of heavy cream, to make it a bit lighter, and it turned out great. Awesome recipe for when you're having guests (do ahead).
