Hot Dog Chili Recipe

1 lb. ground beef (sirloin, round)
1 medium onion finely chopped
1 - 6 oz. can tomato sauce
3 - cans of water
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tsp. salt
1-1 1/2 T. chili powder
1 tsp. vinegar

Directions:

DO NOT BROWN THE BEEF.
Combine all ingredient adding the water one can at a time.
Cook slowly. For 1-1 1/2 hrs.
Stir often.
Serve with hot dogs.
Freeze well.

I just could not leave out a recipe for Hot Dog chili. When I was growing up in Charleston WV we always had chili on our hot dogs, except when Mom made them. Sometimes she would buy canned chili. It just wasn't the same as home made. It seems to be a WV thing but we had our hot dogs with chili and cole slaw.
