Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
head of lettuce
romaine lettuce
2 ribs of celery, chopped
1 or 2 bunches of green onions, chopped
1 can mandarin oranges, drained


1/2 cup slivered almonds
3 tsp sugar

Dressing
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup oil
1/2 tsp salt
little pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Toss all salad ingredients in a large bowl.

Heat and stir sugar and almonds until well-coated and brown (not burnt). Add to lettuce.

Mix dressing ingredients well and pour over lettuce.

Does not do well as leftovers.
