⅓ cup butter
½ cup corn syrup
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup raisins
¼ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
2 eggs (or 1)

Directions:
Directions:
Pick over raisins and soak in hot water. Melt butter and all all ingredients except eggs. Mix. Cool and add slightly beaten eggs. Bake 425º for 15-20 minutes.
I also add maple flavoring or vanilla flavoring and more raisins than called for.

When I left home I copied recipes from Moms recipe book so I had some tried and true family recipes. A lot of her recipes came from her Mom's recipe books. Handed down from generation to generation.
