½ cup soft bread crumbs
¼ cup milk
1 medium onion, chopped very fine
3 Tbs butter
1 lb ground beef (or.½ lb each ground beef and ground pork)
1 egg
1 tsp salt
½ tsp ground pepper
1 cup sherry

Directions:
Directions:
Soak bread crumbs in milk
Cook chopped onion in 1 Tbs butter until light brown
Mix together onion, bread crumbs, meat, egg, salt and pepper

Form meat mixture into meat balls (about 2 Tbs meat in each meat ball)
Melt remaining 2 Tbs of butter in frying pan
Brown meat balls in butter
Cook browned meatballs gently in sherry until they are cooked through
Adjust seasonings and add more sherry to taste

Serve with roasted potatoes or rice
