"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Remove the steak from the fridge 2 hours before you plan to cook it to allow it to come to room temperature. Season liberally on all sides with Beef Seasoning or salt and pepper. Press or pat the seasoning into the meat.

Preheat your smoker to 300º. Place the tomahawk steak grill grates with indirect heat and close the lid. Using a reliable meat thermometer, smoke until the internal temp of the steak reaches 115 degrees F.

Increase grill temperature to 450º. Brush each side of the tomahawk steak with 1 Tbsp butter. Place the steak on the hot grill with direct heat and sear each side for 2-3 minute until the internal temperature of the steak reaches your preferred doneness meduim rare 130.

Let the steaks rest for 10-15 minutes. Then slice, serve, and enjoy!
