3/4 cup butter softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
one egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
3/4cup sour cream
chocolate ganache filling recipe follows
Chocolate ganache filling heat 3/4 cup heavy cream 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar to a bowl stir until sugar is dissolved place one and a half cups semi sweet chocolate chips in medium bowl pour cream mixture over chocolate and let it Stand five minutes stir until smooth letí stand i15 minutes or until feeling reaches desired consistency feeling or thinking as it cools makes about 1 1/2

Preheat oven to 350 grease and flour 29 inch round cake pans beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy beat in eggs and vanilla until blended combine flour cocoa baking soda and salt in medium bowl add flour mixture to butter mixture alternating with butter milk and sour cream beginning and ending with flour mixture be well after each addition divide the batter evenly between two prepared pants bake 30 Call and pans 10 minutes remove from pans to wire rack to cool completely cut each cake layer in half meanwhile prepared chocolate ganache filling place one cake layer on serving plate spread 1/3 of filling. Repeat layers Two more times top with remaining cake layer prepare easy chocolate frosting spread over cake garnish as desired

Easy chocolate frosting be 1/2 cup softened butter in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until creamy at 4 cups powdered sugar and three force cup cocoa alternating with a half a cup of milk meeting till smooth star in 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla makes about 3 cups
