Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 large salmon steak filet skin on
2-3 lemons
olive oil (a few cups worth)
3-5 T. minced garlic
Basil, Marjoram, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme to taste
salt and ground pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
use the juice of 2 of the lemons
add together spices to taste then add olive oil (enough to cover the whole salmon steak for marinading)
add garlic to marinade along with the lemon juice

refrigerate for at least an hour (2-3 hours is better)

after the marinading process is over, remove salmon from marinade and what I do is pat a little of the olive oil off as the flavor is in the meat of the salmon and it doesn't splatter all over the oven as badly.

place salmon steak skin side down on a baking sheet lines with aluminum foil, cover with the used lemon peels and pulp, then cover the steak with aluminum foil and bake at 325º until the salmon is done and flaking.

Use the wedges of the last lemon to further flavor the baked salmon.

If you do not want to bake the salmon, it is good on the grill too and the smoked flavor from the grill is AWESOME!!!

Personal Notes:
Bonnie gave me her basic recipe with the ingredients of salmon, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice. I cooked the salmon for the first time as it was the first time I had tried salmon. The second time I tried the salmon, I added all the other ingredients.
