4 Tbsp. butter
1 lb. carrots, sliced
1 tsp. sugar
½ tsp. salt
¼ cup Marsala cooking wine

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the carrots into 2-inch lengths and then slice the carrots lengthwise so they are about 3/8 inch thick.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan and add the carrots.
Stir well to coat with butter.
Add the sugar and salt and mix well.
Stir in the marsala and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
Pour in enough water to barely cover the carrots.
Cover the pan and cook over low to moderate heat until the carrots are tender.
Serve hot.
