Directions:
Store this seasoning in a tight closing jar and be sure to label it Taco Seasoning and list the ingredients on the label. Use about 1 level Tablespoon to each pound of ground meat. Then to each pound of ground meat add about 1/4 cup of water and 2-3 tablespoons of tomato sauce or taco sauce to moisten the meat. More sauce can be added to your taste if desired. For a stronger tasting taco filling, you may add more taco seasoning for a spicer taste.
Let simmer for a few minutes until ready to use.

Personal Notes:
Nothing is more upsetting then when a recipe is partly done and you find out you don't have the correct spice to complete it. This happened to me when I started to make tacos one evening and could not find the taco seasoning. With a little research to what seasonings needed to be used I made up the closest seasoning I could use. Much to my surprise I like it better than the commercial brand. If you find there is a spice you would like to add, such as more red pepper to make it spicier, then add a small amount until you are satisfied with the results. Experimenting is a fun way of learning. Good luck.
