1 c shortening
2 c sugar
3 eggs
1 pint honey
½ c buttermilk
1 c sour cream
2 t cinnamon
2 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
1 t salt
1 t anise oil
8 - 9½ c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Mix together honey, buttermilk, sour cream, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and anise oil. Mix both groups of ingredients into flour. Chill over night. Roll out the size of a nickel or quarter. Cut off and roll in a ball. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. If cookies bake flat instead of round, add more flour. Cookies should be about the diameter of a quarter or a little larger.
