2 C + 2 Tbsp flour
3½ tsp baking powder
1½ C sugar
1 tsp salt
½ C soft shortening
1 tsp flavoring
1 C milk
1 C pitted dates
½ C nuts, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add in remaining ingredients and beat for 2 minutes. Fold in nuts.Bake 35-40 minutes for layers and 45-50 minutes 9x13 pan.
