5 C flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 C milk
1 Tbsp melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sift 4C flour with baking powder and salt. Combine melted butter and milk. Place dry ingredients in a large bowl and add liquid a little at a time beating with egg beater. When it is worked into soft dough, lightly flour a board with part of remaining flour. Turn dough onto board and knead, working in some of the flour. Divide dough into 3 parts and shape each into a round pone, about ⅛" thick to find into a 10" skillet. Pour cooking oil into a large heavy skillet to measure ¼" deep. Heat the oil and brown the pones quickly 1 at a time until golden brown on both sides. Top with meat sauce (see recipe) or jam or jelly.
