3/4 to 1 C. sugar
1 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg
6 to 7 cups sliced apples
1 1/2 Tbsp butter
9" Pie Crusts (homemade or store-bought)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425ºF
1. Mix sugar and cinnamon/nutmeg together.
2. Add apples to mixture and mix lightly.
3. Heap up in crust-lined 9" pie pan. Dot with butter.
4. Cover with top crust with slits cut in it. Seal and flute.
5. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until crust is nicely browned and apples are booked though (test with fork). Serve warm or cold.
