2 cups coarsely chopped broccoli (Tip: works well with asparagus, too)
½ cup coarsely chopped onion
1 chicken-flavored bouillon cube

⅛ teaspoon lemon juice
2 ½ cups milk
2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Place broccoli, onion, 1 cup water, bouillon cube, salt and lemon-pepper spice in 2-quart saucepan; cover.

Simmer for 25 minutes or until vegetables are very tender.
Stir milk into cornstarch in a bowl gradually until smooth. Add to vegetables. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
To serve, place soup in a blender. Process for 15 seconds or until smooth (Tip: process for a shorter time if you like more texture with bits of broccoli).

Broccoli soup goes well served with a salad and bread. We like it with the Rosemary & Hazelnut bread.
