3 cups milk
3 slices stale bread broken into small pieces
2 T. minute tapioca
1/4 t. salt
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk (scalding is bringing to boil until film on top)
Add bread, minute tapioca, salt,.
Cook for 15 minutes sirring
Stir in well beaten egg, sugar, vanilla and raisins.

Pour in buttered baking dish
Bake in 300 degrees for 30 minutes or so.

Beaten egg whites may be used for meringue if you wish.
