1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. applesauce
1 c. cooked raisins (cook in pan with 2 T. water)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, egg and sugar. Mix together dry ingredients. Gradually add dry mixture to creamed mixture. Add applesauce, nuts and raisins. Add raisin juice until consistency of a drop cookie. Drop with spoon or get a cookie dropper thing from Vicki Glanzer. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
