2 1/2 C flour
1/2 t baking soda
3/4 t salt
1/2 C butter
1/2 C shortening
1 C sugar
1 t vanilla
1 egg
2 T milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Set aside
Cream together butter, shortening, sugar, and vanilla.
Add egg and cream till fluffy. Stir in dry ingredients.
Blend in 2 T milk
Drop from a teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flaten with a glass bottom which has been dropped in
sugar. Add extra sugar if needed.
Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes.
