2 tbsp unsalted butter
5 cups frozen corn, thawed
½ cup heavy cream
¾ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
1.5 tbsp granulated sugar
1 cup whole milk
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
Optional: pinch of cayenne pepper

Directions:

1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add corn, heavy cream, salt, pepper, sugar, (cayenne pepper if using). Stir to combine.
3. In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the milk and the flour.
4. Pour the flour mixture into the corn mixture and stir to combine.
5. Cook, stirring constantly for 4-5 minutes or until thickened and the corn is cooked.
