1-lb. bacon, diced
8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried basil
2 T. dried parsley, divided
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup half & half
1½ tsp. granulated garlic
2 cups Parmesan cheese, shredded
1 cup green onions, sliced
1-16 oz. package fettuccine noodles

In 5 quart saucepan on medium heat fry bacon until just crispy, leave 2 T. dripping in pan. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels and set aside. Start cooking noodles according to package directions. Put saucepan on medium heat and add mushrooms, oregano, basil, 1 T. parsley to bacon drippings and saute one minute. Add half & half, cream, bacon and garlic. Bring to a low simmering boil, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Turn heat to low and stir in 1½ cups Parmesan cheese until sauce is smooth. Add drained noodles and mix well. Transfer to serving platter or bowl, cover with ½ cup Parmesan, parsley and green onions. Serves 6 to 8.
