4 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 c cocoa
dash of salt
2 c sugar
1 c shortening
2 eggs
1 c milk
1 c warm water
2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, soda, cocoa and salt. Combine sugar, shortening and eggs. Beat about 2 minutes. Add dry ingredients to mixture. Add milk and water. Beat at medium speed 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla and beat until well blended. Drop by tablespoons onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack.

Peanut Butter Filling

2 Tbsp Butter
1/2 c peanut butter
3 1/2 c confectioners sugar
1/2 c milk

Blend peanut butter and butter. Add sugar and milk. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed to blend on high speed until light and fluffy. Spread 1/2 of cookies generously with filling. Top with another cookie.
