2 sticks butter (Mama Bullock used one stick butter and one stick margarine)
1 ⅔ cup sugar
5 eggs
2 cups plain flour (Mama Bullock used Swan Down cake flour)
2 tsp lemon flavoring or vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Bake at 300 º for 30 minutes then at 350º for 30 minutes
Cream together soften butter and sugar – add eggs one at a time mixing well after each – mix in flour – add flavoring – then bake.
