1 cup Karo syrup
⅛ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
¾ cup sugar
2 tbsp melted butter
1 cup pecans (whole or chopped)
1 unbaked pie shell

Bake at 400º for 15 minutes reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes longer – filling should appear slightly less set in center
