¾ cup butter flavor Crisco shortening
1¼ cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1½ tsp vanilla
3 cups Quaker oats (old fashioned, uncooked)
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 cup raisins
1 cup coarsely walnuts

Bake at 375º for 10 to 12 minutes
Lightly grease baking sheet with butter flavored Crisco shortening – Combine butter flavored Crisco brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl – beat at medium speed until well blended - combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a separate bowl – Mix dry ingredients into creamed mixture at low speed just until blended – stir in raisins and nuts – drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto a baking sheet - Bake at 350º degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown – cool 2 minutes on a cooling rack.
Makes 2½ dozen cookies
