1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
tsp soda
tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
tsp nutmeg
cup soft shortening (not oil)
1⅓ cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups Oats, uncooked
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes
Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg into a bowl add shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla beat until smooth about 2 minutes stir in oats and raisins drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheets bake in preheated oven.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies
