½ cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 – 4 bananas (mashed)
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp soda
1 to ¾ cup chopped pecans (if you want to make banana nut bread)

Directions:
Directions:
Bake at 325º for an hour
In a mixing bowl add in order butter, sugar, eggs, and 3-4 ripe bananas – make sure to blend completely each ingredient before adding the next ingredient - sift together flour and soda – slowly add to banana mixture and blend well – at this point if you wish to make banana nut bread, stir in the chopped nuts – Pour batter into well-greased loaf pans – bake in a preheated oven – watch it because it sometimes bakes faster then expected.
