Cabbage
1 T butter
1 T onion, chopped
Water
Cream
2 T vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
To an average amount of cabbage, add butter and onion and let steam until done. If it dries out, add water. When about done, add cream. When done, remove from stove and add vinegar.

Ruth added this note: "Mother would never fix meat when she made cooked cabbage. She would serve cabbage on mashed potatoes. Then serve vegetables."
