2 tbsp bacon fat
2/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, chopped fine
2 lbs round steak
1 can ( 4 oz. )sliced mushrooms
1 cup sour cream
1 can (8 oz. ) tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp water

Cut steak into 1 inch cubes. Melt fat in skillet, if using electric skillet set at 400 F. Cook onion and garlic until soft. Add meat and cook about 10 min. until browned. Add the rest of the ingredients, including the mushroom liquid,excepting the flour and water. Lower temperature to 250 F if using electric skillet. If using stove top skillet lower temperature to med-low. Cover skillet and cook 2 hrs. Mix flour and water and stir into mixture to thicken during last 10 minutes of cooking. Makes 8 servings.
