32 cups apples (½ bushel)
2 cups raw apple slices to ½ cup of sugar
1½ teaspoon cinnamon
¾ teaspoon gloves
1 handful of red hot candy

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and slice apples leaving the peeling and core.
Layer apples and sugar in a large roaster pan. Put heavy foil over pan sealing tight.
Put the lid on the pan. Let set several hours or overnight.
Bake at 275º to 300º for 6 hours. Do not peak at any time while the foil is on.
Set aside for 7 hours. Run through a colander. Add spices to taste.
Boil until really hot and the red hot candy is melted.
Did out some of the juice before canning.
