4 large (1½ lbs) carrots, washed and peeled
2 T grated onion
1 T horseradish
½ c mayonnaise
¼ t pepper
½ t salt

Topping:

1 c bread crumbs
¼ c melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and slice carrots thin (¼ inch or so). Cook carrots in small amount of water for 5 minutes. Drain and reserve ¼ c of this water for sauce. Combine water, onion, horseradish, mayo, salt and pepper. Place carrots in buttered 2-qt casserole dish. For topping, melt butter and mix bread crumbs with it. Pour mixture over carrots. Sprinkle bread crumbs over mixture. Bake uncovered in 350 degree onion for 20 minutes.

FAMILY STORY - 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

10 January 1903 ~ 1 January 1953: Anna and Con Sr. celebrated their 50th anniversary in their big house, across the street from the high school gym. Norma remembered that it seemed like there were a zillion people in their house. Con & Anna would go on to celebrate their 65th anniversary before his passing.
