2 T butter
1 slice of white bread (brown for topping)
1 medium head cabbage
Flour
¼ t caraway seeds
Pepper
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cook cabbage in 1 inch water for 10 minutes. Discard water; remove and drain cabbage.

In saucepan melt butter, stir in flour, caraway seeds and pepper. Cook 1 minute. Gradually stir in 1 c milk. Cook until thick. Return cabbage to saucepan, toss until well coated, and heat until cabbage is hot. Spoon cabbage in bowls and top with bread crumbs.
