1 lg Clove garlic, minced
1 Shallot, minced
2 tbsp Melted butter
1¼ cup Milk
1½ cup Heavy cream
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Pepper
2½ lb Red potatoes -- sliced 1/8" thick
4 oz Gruyere or Swiss cheese
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté first 3 ingredients for 2 minutes. Add next 4 ingredients. Mix together. Add potatoes and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent mixture from scorching. Transfer to 9x12-inch buttered casserole dish. Add Gruyere cheese and top with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes. Let stand 20-30 minutes before serving.
