1 1/4 cup flour
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla

Icing
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 to 3 teaspoons milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325º

Blend top 10 ingredients until moistened, 3 minutes at medium speed. Then add: 2 cups (2 medium) peeled, chopped apples and 1 cup chopped nuts. Stir in by hand.

Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake 50 to 65 minutes. Cool upright 15 minutes, then turn onto serving plate. Cool.

Combine icing ingredients. Blend until smooth. Spoon over cake.
