Whole fresh mushrooms
Italian sausage
Pasta sauce

Amount of each depends on how many you want to make.
For this recipe, I will work with:
three (3) 8 oz packages of fresh mushrooms
I also use Italian sausage links. I link per 8 oz pack of mushrooms
24 oz bottle of your favorite pasta sauce

Wash mushrooms, then pull the stems out of the caps. (Freeze the stems to use with other recipes... roast, etc)

Squeeze Italian sausage out of link and stuff each mushroom cap. Line stuffed mushrooms in a cake pan. They can be crammed together if necessary. Pour pasta sauce over mushrooms.

Cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350º F for an hour and a half

Spoon out mushrooms and place in a slow cooker to keep warm and serve as an appetizer.
