1 c canned applesauce
¾ c brown sugar, packed
½ c salad oil
1¾ c flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
½ ground cloves
½ c raisins
½ c chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine applesauce, brown sugar and oil and mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together in another bowl. Add the raisins and nuts. Stir in the applesauce mixture and blend well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x9x2' baking pan. Bake at 350ºF for 35-40 minutes or until cake tests done. Makes 9 servings.
