Ingredients:  
1 Cuban or French bread cut into 1" thick slices (12 slices)
1½ cup of milk
½ cup of dry wine (white)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
2 eggs yolks
3 eggs beaten for coating
Oil for frying

SYRUP
4 cups of sugar
3 cups of sugar
½ of a lemon juice
½ medium lemon peel
Cinnamon stick

SYRUP
1.Bring all syrup ingredients to a boil
2. Reduce heat to med.-low and simmer for 20 min., stirring occasionally until it thickens.

BREAD

1. Place the cut bread slices in a pan.
2. Mix the milk, wine, add 2 tbsp of sugar 1 tsp of cinnamon. (in a pan)
3. Beat the 2 egg yolks until frost, add to milk fixture.
4. Heat oil for frying.
5. Beat the remain eggs
6. Dip the bread slice in the milk mixture one by one,until they get thoroughly soak.
7. Lift the pieces and let the excess mixture drip off.
8.Take the bread and coat each side with the beaten eggs and fry until golden brown.
9. Drain the excess oil on a paper towel.
10.Place the bread in a single layer pan. Pour the syrup over the fried bread.
