1½ lbs lean ground beef
1 tube ground sausage
1 egg
20 saltine crackers
1 C brown sugar
3 strips bacon
2 Tbsp garlic salt
¼ C ketchup
⅛ C ground mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Place ground beef and ground sausage in a large mixing bowl. Add egg to meat bowl. Crush 20 crackers with hands over meat and egg into a semi-fine powder. Add garlic salt, to taste. Mash contents of mixing bowl together with hands until all ingredients are thoroughly blended. Take large ball of meat and pound with hands to form the shape of into a loaf. Place loaf pan in center of baking pan. Part meatloaf down the middle to create a slight indentation. Spread ground mustard on top of loaf. Spread brown sugar on top of loaf. Place raw bacon on top of loaf lengthwise. Douse top of loaf with ketchup (do not cover, just for taste). Bake for 75-90 minutes in preheated 400º oven.
