"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
* 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls, split
* 1 lb. shaved ham
* 12 oz Gruyere cheese, sliced
* 1 tub (12 oz) Philadelphia Chive
and Onion Cream Cheese
* 1/2 cup butter melted
* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
* 1 1/2 tsp dried minced onion

Directions:
Directions:
1) Arrange roll bottoms in a greased 13x9 in baking dish. Layer with ham and Gruyere cheese. Spread each roll top with cream cheese and place over Gruyere.
2) In a small bowl combine the butter, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Spoon the butter sauce on top of the sandwiches. Let stand for at least 20 minutes.( these can be made ahead of time and covered with foil and allowed to sit in the fridge overnight)
3) Cover the dish and bake at 350*f for 20 minutes or until heated through.
( 20 minutes for a glass dish and 25 to 30 minutes for a metal pan)

Note: Substitutions we have made that taste great as well
A) dollar buns for the Hawaiian rolls
B) summer sausage for the ham
C) Swiss cheese for the Gruyere cheese ( Gruyere is a more expensive Swiss cheese.)
D) some of the recipe reviews sprinkled the melted butter on and left out the Worcestershire sauce, Parmesan cheese and onions.. People that did that thought it was very good.
E) Spray the aluminum foil with nonstick spray to prevent topping from sticking to the foil when it is removed.
