4 cup Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Creme of Tartar
½ tsp Salt
1 cup Sugar
¼ lb Butter
2 Eggs
1 cup Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Rub in Butter with tips of fingers, add sugar and well beaten eggs and milk; raisins may be added if liked. Roll out about an inch thick on a floured surface, cut into rounds. Bake in a hot oven 15 to 20 minutes. Or cook on a warmed and greased griddle on top of the stove, turning the scones when one side is done and a light brown.
