¾ c sugar
¼ c flour
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp cinnamon
Dash of salt
6 c thinly sliced apples
2 tbsp margarine or butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425ºF. Prepare pastry. Mix sugar, flour, spices, salt. Stir into apples. Turn into pastry lined pie plate; dot with butter. Cover with top crust that has slits in it; seal and flute. Cover edge with 3" strip of aluminum foil during last 15 minutes. Bake until brown and juice begins to bubble.
