¾ cup sugar
8 egg yolks
5 squares softened semi-sweet chocolate
¼ cup flour
2 cups ground hazelnuts
8 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Beat till light and fluffy:
Sugar, egg yolks. Add melted chocolate, flour and hazelnuts (filberts).

Whip egg whites till stiff, and. Gently fold into the rest.

Grease and flour 2 large cake pans. Fill and bake at 350º F till done.

Cool and cut into 4 layers. Fill alternately with whipped cream and buttercream.

COFFEE BUTTERCREAM:
Cook in top of double boiler until thick:
2 egg yolks
1 whole egg
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/16 liter (1/3 cup);strong black coffee
Cool slightly and add:
2 sticks (1/2 lb butter)
Whip till creamy and frost and fill the torte.
