3½ cups flour
1 page. dry yeast
1 cup milk
½ cup (8 tbs.) butter
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp. Salt
1 egg
STREUSEL:
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup (1 stick) butter

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl combine 2 cups of flour and yeast. Heat milk, butter, sugar and salt, just enough to melt butter. Add to dry mixture, add egg. Beat at low speed of mixture for 1/2 minute. Beat 3 minutes at high speed. Stir in remaining flour by hand. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise in warm place till double in bulk; about 1½ hours. Turn out on floured surface and make any desired cake. For crumb cake use a jelly roll pan.
