2 cups Milk
1 cup sugar
5 Eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 stick Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Prepare crust and brush inside with egg white to prevent sogginess.
Combine above ingredients and cook over medium heat just until butter melts.
Pour in crust and bake for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle with nutmeg prior to placing in oven.
For variation, add apple filling before adding custard mixture.
 

Apple Filling

1 pkg Dried Apples
1/4 tsp Apple Pie Spice
1/4-1/3 cup Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Place apples in saucepan and cover with water. Cook over medium heat (covered) until fruit is soft.
Add spice and sugar after mashing fruit.
Place in bottom of pie crust and cover with custard mixture prior to baking.
