1 pt. Milk
1 c. sugar, divided
4 egg yokes, beaten
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk and 1/2 c. sugar in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boiling point, but Do Not boil. Remove from heat. Combine egg yokes and remaining 1/4 c sugar. Gradually add cornstarch stirring well. Gradually add 1/2 of hot milk mixture into egg mixture. Add remaining hot milk and mix, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat until smooth and thickened. Stir in vanilla. Pour into glass container and chill.
