1 lb. frozen shrimp
½ c.green onion, chopped
¼ c. all-purpose flour
¼ c. water
1 egg
1 tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. sesame oil
vegetable oil
5 slices bread

Directions:

Prepare Shrimp; chop and mix with green onions, flour, water, egg, corn starch, salt, sugar, sesame oil, and pepper. Heat oil (1-½ inch deep) to 350º. Remove crust from bread cut slices into four squares. Place 1 or 2 pieces of shrimp mixture on each piece of bread ( spoon about 1 tbsp.). Fry 5 at a time turning often. Drain on a paper towel. I copied this recipe from "The Best of Trimble County" cookbook circa 1990.
