2 lbs medium sized fresh shrimp
1 8 oz package of linguine or fettuccine, uncooked
1 cup of butter
4-6 cloves garlic, pressed
2 shallots, minced
1/3 c dry white wine
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 c chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper

Peel and devein shrimp, set aside. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain. Place pasta in a large serving bowl and keep warm. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and shallots and cook, stirring constantly for approx. 5 minutes or until tender. Add shrimp and cook 3-5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Add wine, lemon juice, parsley, salt & pepper. Pour shrimp mixture over pasta, stirring to blend. Serve immediately.
