⅔ c sugar
1 c molasses
½ c corn syrup
½ tsp salt
¾ c peanut butter (approximately)
¼ tsp cream of tarter
½ c boiling water
¼ c butter
½ tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, molasses, syrup, salt and cream of tarter in saucepan. Add boiling water and stir until dissolved. On moderate heat, cook without stirring to 242ºF. Add butter and continue cooking stirring occasionally to 250ºF. Pour on large buttered platter and cool evenly by folding outer edge over, etc. Add vanilla and knead with buttered fingers. Pull until color light and stiff. Pull and stretch each piece 12x3 on buttered cookie sheet. Add peanut butter on top and fold over and seal together. Cut into pieces.
