½ c butter or margarine
2½ tbsp flour
½ tsp salt
½ c milk
½ c brown sugar packed
2 c sifted confectioners sugar
½ tsp vanilla
½ c coarsely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, remover from heat and blend in flour and salt. Stir in slowly, milk. Bring to boil stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. If mixture curdles, do not be alarmed. Stir in brown sugar. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Set in cold water. Beat until consistency to spread. Add vanilla and nuts.
